Our Story

Welcome and thank you for visiting The Twisted Biscuit! My name is John Trolli, I am married to Liz and together we have four amazing children: Anmarie, Dominic, Gabriella, and Jay. After graduating from OSU with a genetics degree and not finding a fulfilling job within the field, Liz and I packed up and decided to move to Atlanta. I enrolled and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. During school, I rediscovered my passion and excitement within the culinary field. After graduation, we returned to our family in Columbus.

Back home, I spent time in various restaurants (managing, cooking, doing it all) and when we found out we were going to be a family of 5, transitioned into healthcare and corporate dining. Being back home, one of our favorite activities was hosting Sunday Family Meal with the people that mean the most to us. Growing up, Liz and I both cherished the family meals that we spent with our respective families. This was a gift that we wanted to pass on to our kids.

Quarantine ended these gatherings, however it enabled our nuclear family to experiment and perfect recipes that we wanted to share. Once COVID ended my corporate employment, I decided it was time to create a brand, and The Twisted Biscuit was born! This is truly a family endeavor, with all our kids and extended family taking part in the research, development, and (not surprisingly) the tasting of all the products The Twisted Biscuit has to offer.
